Luke Lancaster

was born and raised in Oak Grove, Louisiana, where his parents instilled in him the values of service, integrity, and hard work. His father, Mack, served as District Attorney for Louisiana’s 5th Judicial District. His mother dedicated her career to teaching at the local public school. Those lessons shaped Luke’s lifelong commitment to justice and community.

After graduating from Oak Grove High School, Luke earned his degree in English and Political Science from LSU, followed by a law degree from Loyola Law School. He began his career clerking at the Jefferson Parish District Attorney’s office and later went on to serve as a Louisiana Assistant Attorney General, defending Louisiana’s doctors and hospitals.

Since 2016, Luke has proudly served as an Assistant District Attorney in the 22nd Judicial District, prosecuting thousands of felony cases in St. Tammany and Washington Parishes. From murders and sexual assaults to child abuse and domestic violence, Luke has stood up for victims and worked tirelessly to keep our communities safe.

Luke’s service doesn’t end in the courtroom. He sits on the board of the 22nd Judicial District Bar Association, was recognized by Safe Harbor as a “Real Superhero” for his advocacy, and has spent years coaching youth sports at Pelican Park.

Luke and his wife, Suzanne, a nurse practitioner, are raising their three children—Stella, Eli, and Ava—in Mandeville. Together, they are deeply rooted in their schools and community.

Now, Luke Lancaster is ready to bring his experience, fairness, dedication, and passion for the rule of law to the bench as Judge.
